As recently announced, our new Satellite Centre in Antrim will open its doors on 31st March 2015 under the leadership of Kim Gregg.
Kim, who joined us from Musgrave Park Spinal Injuries Unit has spent the last couple of months getting up to speed with the programme at our Watford Flagship Centre in preparation for this month’s launch in Antrim. Despite only recently joining she has already made a lasting impression on our clients and team members having been described as a “brilliant” addition to the team and a “real coup” for the organisation.
In addition to Kim, we are delighted to welcome Dorinda Crothers who will join us on an initial 12 week placement. Dorinda is a graduate from Glasgow University and has been working as a volunteer at a vocational training centre in Antrim. She is looking forward to the opportunity of working with us at neurokinex.
To take advantage of our early bird offer at the Antrim Centre please complete your application by 30th March 2015 as there are now only limited spaces available. Click here to apply.
Second Satellite Centre announcement
Our senior trainer, Claire Jones will also be on hand during the early stages in Antrim to support Kim and Dorinda. This experience in Antrim will also give Claire valuable experience in preparation for her next neurokinex role of leading our second Satellite Centre in the Bristol/Bath region.
The neurokinex Satellite Centres are a vital part of our strategy to ensure that individuals with neurological conditions are able to access more conveniently located services and don’t have to spend time and money travelling across the country to our Flagship Centre.
Although we are in the early planning stages of this second Satellite Centre we are anticipating being open before the end of 2015. If you have any specific questions about this particular initiative please get in touch at email@example.com
With all of this exciting expansion news, we must emphasise that we are still working hard to strengthen the team in Watford. With that in mind we are looking forward to welcoming Laura Bochkoltz who will be joining us next month. Laura brings with her a wealth of experience having worked at Stoke Mandeville, Stanmore and also the Royal Bucks Hospital whilst also working as an independent assessor for clinical trials across the globe. Laura will add yet another dimension to the evolution of our programme and help us continue to challenge ourselves to ensure we bring the best possible solutions to the Community.
We are pleased to announce that Taylor Oram will continue to work with the training team beyond her internship through the University of Hertfordshire. Taylor will be with us on a part-time basis from the end of July 2015 whilst she completes her final year at university.
We also have an internship opportunity at the Antrim Centre starting in September 2015. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
And finally, we would like to congratulate Jane Symonds on the birth of her son Ben. Both Jane and Ben are doing well, although Jane is a little tired.
